- Independent wrestler Devon Nicholson will meet WWE in court this October with his $6 million lawsuit. Nicholson is suing after WWE rescinded a contract offer to him. Nicholson alleges that WWE discriminated against him because of his Hepatitis C.

- Last night’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis was officially sold out.

- Talk at last night’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view was that there will be a big payoff angle between Kane and John Cena at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view next month.

Backstage News on Sheamus Winning the 2012 WWE Royal Rumble

- WWE decided to have Sheamus win the 2012 WWE Royal Rumble to throw a curve ball at fans who were expecting Chris Jericho to win. Michael Cole’s line about which title will Sheamus challenge for at WrestleMania 28 was designed to make fans believe the storyline were just shaken up big time.

WWE officials are high on the way Sheamus presents himself and have had plans to push him hard for the past year.

The Great Khali’s WWE Return, Jericho Comments After The Rumble, More

- Kofi Kingston is doing media appearances for WWE today.

- Mick Foley wrote the following regarding his appearance at the 2012 WWE Royal Rumble:

- Chris Jericho wrote the following on Twitter in response to fans wondering about his “end of the world” claims for the Royal Rumble:

- Before he returned at last night’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, there had been rumblings that The Great Khali would be returning for a short program so he may be sticking around through WrestleMania 28.

Barrett Picks His New Theme, News on Tonight’s RAW, Sheamus & Daniel Bryan

- Tonight’s WWE RAW Supershow will take place from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Tonight’s show will see Triple H return to evaluate John Laurinaitis and the fallout from the Royal Rumble. Matches advertised locally include Kane vs. John Cena and Dolph Ziggler vs. WWE Champion CM Punk.

- Wade Barrett wrote the following about his new theme song and how he got to choose it:

“It seems my new entrance theme is universally loved. Thank God I won the ‘talk the talk’ challenge on NXT season 1 and got to pick it.”

- In hyping Sheamus’ 2012 Royal Rumble win, WWE is pointing out that Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 27 for the United States Championship was bumped from the card last year. The two ended up going to a No Contest in one of the WrestleMania 27 dark matches. They wrote:

“It was an important victory for the SmackDown Superstar. A year ago, The Celtic Warrior’s WrestleMania XXVI bout against Daniel Bryan was bumped from the card at the last minute. This year, he’ll be competing for a World Title. Don’t expect The Great White to let this opportunity slip through his fingers.”

Trish Responds to Beth, Piper Responds to Reports, Moinet’s FCW Name

- WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper, who is still campaigning for a Piper’s Pit with The Rock and John Cena, wrote the following in response to reports that he threatened Vince McMahon and The Honky Tonk Man on Twitter:

“For the record,Vince and Hot Rod are on great terms,today.lol.If i was really after HTM or anybody, I wouldn’t say a word, just take em out”

- Former WWE Diva Trish Stratus apparently doesn’t agree with claims by Beth Phoenix that she’s the most dominant women’s champion. Trish wrote on Twitter last night:

“Btw, @TheBethPhoenix should choose her words wisely when it comes to being the most dominant champion…”

- As noted before, former Lingerie Football League player Danielle Moinet has been doing ring announcing in WWE developmental. Reader Terry M. sent word that Moinet is going by the name Summer Rae.
