Republican nominee for the United States Senate seat out of Connecticut Linda McMahon was asked by reporters Tuesday if she knew recently deceased wrestler and former WWE superstar Lance Cade.
“I might have met him once.” McMahon told reporters.
McMahon defended WWE by saying they could be no more accountable for deaths of performers “than a studio could have prevented Heath Ledger’s death.” Ledger died of a drug overdose in 2008.
